National Art School Etching Course - Angus Fisher
Explore the medium of etching with a variety of tools and techniques. Learn to work with acid, hard ground, soft ground, drypoint, aquatints, chine-collé and other techniques and acquire the skills to transfer your printing plates onto paper using a printing press. Whether you are producing traditional editioned prints or investigating other methods of printing, explore the exciting range of results that are possible through the etching process. With self-generated ideas, enjoy creating one or a number of bodies of work.
Angus Fisher is a practicing printmaker who is skilled in using intricate, traditional techniques to represent the natural world. Angus is a graduate of the National Art School and is currently represented by Australian Galleries where he exhibits regularly. He has worked as an artist and teacher around Australia and as an archaeological illustrator in Greece. Angus is currently working towards an exhibition in Sydney as well as the creation of a limited edition series of books. Watch Angus producing his prints here.
